Any term not defined in this document has the meaning ascribed to it in the Terms and Conditions of Use which by use of this website, you agree to accept.

When you share information with us, for example by creating a myCarnivalBands.com Account, we can make those services even better – to show you more relevant search results, to keep track of all your purchases and manage your Band Memberships. As you use our services, we want you to be clear how we're using information and the ways in which you can protect your privacy.

Our Privacy Policy explains:

  • What information we collect and why we collect it.
  • How we use that information.

Your privacy matters to myCarnivalBands.com so, please do take the time to get to know our practices – and if you have any questions, comments and concerns, you may use [email protected].

Please note that by visiting and shopping on myCarnivalBands.com, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

We collect information to provide better services to all of our users – from figuring out basic stuff like what carnival routes you prefer, to more complex things like what pricing of costumes should be. It is our intention to promote Carnival around the world and enhance the experience for Bands and Masqueraders alike.

We encourage you to ask questions and to be very cautious before you disclose your personal information to others. At NO time will we ask you for verification of credit card or debit card information or financial details via email, phone or fax.

We collect information in two ways:

  • Information you give us. Our services require you to sign up for a myCarnivalBands.com Account. When you do, we'll ask for Personally Identifiable Information like your name, email address, telephone number and photo identification. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our features. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as identification, responding to your requests, customizing future shopping for you, sending product information on similar products purchased and allowing Bands to verify your membership and to communicate with you. All information you give us must be valid, accurate and truthful. Please note that on collection of purchased item(s), the Purchaser will be required to verify his/her identity. It is the Purchaser's responsibility to ensure valid, accurate, consistent and authentic information for purposes of identification. We DO NOT store purchasers' credit card or debit card information.
  • Information we obtain automatically myCarnivalBands.com receives and stores certain types of information whenever you interact with the website. For instance we use 'cookies' when your web browser accesses myCarnivalBands.com. When you make a purchase we may also store your IP address.

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your web browser to enable our systems to recognize or 'remember' your browser and to provide features such as costume preferences between visits among other personalization features.

The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. Additionally, you can disable or delete similar data used by browser add-ons, such as Flash cookies, by changing the add-on's settings or visiting the website of its manufacturer. However, because cookies allow you to take advantage of some of myCarnivalBands.com's essential features, we recommend that you leave them turned on so that you can create an account and make purchases on the website.

How we use information we collect

We may also use this information to offer you tailored content – like giving you more relevant search results or making targeted discounts and offers to you from our third party providers. For example a luxury car company may wish to send certain members information about discounts on a line of vehicles.

We collect Personal Information, and other information, as disclosed in this Policy, in order to fill your order, to communicate with you about your order, to create invoices and packing slips, to send user emails for emailed newsletters and to send you promotional materials.
